While fans who tuned in to the Canadian Country Music Awards on CBC
last night got to see Deric present the award for Female Artist Of The
Year to Terri Clark (alongside Jason McCoy and Fefe Dobson), they did
not get to see Deric perform on the show as scheduled. Says Deric,
"after dress rehearsal it was determined that, because of technical and
production problems our performance had to be omitted from the show.
The band and I were REALLY disappointed but that's how it sometimes
goes with live TV. Paul Brandt's performance at the end of the show was
also cut dramatically short due to the same issues. So, I'm in good
company." Deric and the band were scheduled to perform "Up All Night"
on the show. A photograph of the band performing the song at dress
rehearsal can be found on Deric's facebook page.
